The obverse of the coin features a bust of Emperor Franz Joseph I, who was the longest-reigning monarch in Austrian history from 1848 to 1916. The reverse side of the coin depicts a crowned imperial double eagle holding an orb and sceptre in its talons, with “Austria” written below it.
