Description
The 2021 ‘The Queen’s Beasts’ coin is the last of the Queen’s Beasts series. This coin comprises all of the Queen’s Beasts and is a great collector’s item. The Queen’s Beasts are ten statues representing the genealogy and heraldry of the British royal family. Each beast symbolises a different branch of the monarch’s ancestry and royal legitimacy. They were originally sculpted by James Woodford for the Queen’s coronation and stood in front of Westminster Abbey. Today, replicas can be found at Kew Gardens in London, while the originals are housed in the Canadian Museum of History.
